Description In some cases, the GM 10SI and 12SI alternators backfeed through the regulator excitetation wire, thus not allowing the engine to be shutoff with the ignition switch. This Diode, heatshrink and buttsplice kit allows you to stop the backfeeding by installing it inline on the Ignition Switched wire going to the regulators pin #1. This diode has a max load rating of 6 amps.
