Mebendazole is a drug that can kill worms. It is effective against infections caused by pinworms, roundworms, whipworms, and hookworms.Mebendazole kills both worms, larvae and eggs.In some cases (mainly severe infections with hookworms or whipworms) where complete cure is not achieved, there is a reduction in egg excretion of at least 90%.Composition of Healthypharm Wormkuurtabletten Mebendazol 100 mg: The active ingredient is 100 mg mebendazole per tablet.Ingredients of Healthypharm Wormkuurtabletten Mebendazol 100 mg: The active ingredient is 100 mg mebendazole per tablet.Other ingredients (excipients) are lactose monohydrate, potato starch, sodium starch glycolate, saccharoid sodium, povidone (E1202), talc, colloidal anhydrous silica (E551), magnesium stearate (E470b), orange flavouring, orange-yellow S (E110).Use of Healthypharm Wormkuurtabletten Mebendazol 100 mg: The dosage below applies to both children 2 years and older and to adults. No special diet or laxative is required. If the worm infection is accompanied by diarrhea, the symptoms should be treated simultaneously.Pinworm infections: 1 tablet and after 14 days another tablet, repeat every 14 days if necessary.Infections with roundworms, whipworms and hookworms: 1 tablet in the morning and 1 tablet in the evening, for 3 consecutive days.If complete healing has not been achieved after three weeks, the treatment should be repeated.Method of use The tablets can be taken with some water or chewed.
